Catherine Gramaticu

Passionate about mental health, sustainability, diversity, and inclusivity, Catherine is particularly driven to advocate for vulnerable communities, especially those from culturally diverse backgrounds, drawing on her own immigrant family background.

Catherine is a dedicated advocate for community empowerment and wellbeing. Her journey with Conversation Caravan began after an inspiring encounter at a Conversation Co pop-up, where she connected with the organisation’s mission and values.

As a conversation facilitator, Catherine works closely with various councils and the State Government, facilitating conversations that empower communities to engage in problem-solving and decision-making. Her ability to actively listen to community needs and collaborate with colleagues makes her work deeply rewarding and impactful.

Catherine is currently completing a Bachelor of Public Health and Health Promotion alongside a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing. Her previous experience includes volunteering with Deakin’s Health Promotion Society, working with organizations supporting vulnerable populations through FoodFilled, and leading teams in various capacities. These experiences have shaped her expertise in interpersonal communication and community engagement.
